With over twenty years of experience, I provide literary, technical and legal translations to individuals and private companies worldwide. I also collaborate with publishers and writers to ensure precision and cultural sensitivity, helping convey their passion for storytelling and bring their words to life in different languages.
Laura Guidi is a literary and sworn translator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Born into an Italian family and having lived in the United States, she is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian, and is currently studying French. A lifelong language enthusiast, she graduated more than 20 years ago and has since cultivated a broad and versatile career in translation and interpreting, working with individuals, private companies, cultural institutions and international organizations.
Over the years, Laura has led many translation projects and worked with fellow translators, and translation companies. Today, as an established freelancer, she devotes herself to what she is most passionate about: literary translation, collaborating with authors and publishers to ensure clarity, style and cultural resonance.
As a sworn and certified translator, she continues to provide technical, business, and legal translation services to individuals, law firms and international companies worldwide.
Laura is a member of Colegio de Traductores Públicos de Buenos Aires (CTPCBA), Asociación Argentina de Traductores e Intérpretes (AATI), American Translators Association (ATA), and American Literary Translators Association (ALTA).

In relation to Literary Translation she has the pleasure to translate plays, scripts, non-fiction books, essays and poetry, and to work together with authors and emerging writers. She has been selected on several occasions to translate the Germán Rozenmacher Award for New Playwriting, organized by FIBA and the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires, a role that has enabled her to work closely with playwrights and support emerging voices in bringing their work to new audiences.
